How to protect yourself from fraudulent organisation donation requests
Dear Donors, friends, and acquaintances of St Luke’s Combined Hospices,
With the onset of COVID-19, we have seen a significant increase in the desperation of individuals to “earn” a living. Unfortunately, this has come in the form of people/fraudulent organisations requesting donations on behalf of Non-profit organisations such as ours.
To protect yourselves and our organisation, please insist on a copy of our NPO certificate, be extremely vigilant, and do not hesitate to make contact with us to verify a request for a donation. Please note that these requests may extend beyond asking for financial support and can include requests for furniture, goods, etc.
