Supporting Hospice Care and Community Giving This July
This July, we are reminded once again of the many meaningful ways our community continues to support the work of St Luke’s Combined Hospices.
We are especially grateful for the heartfelt feedback shared by patient Nigel Andrews, who expressed his appreciation for the care, comfort and sense of community he has experienced through hospice. His words remind us why this work matters so deeply, and how every act of kindness can bring warmth, dignity and hope to someone’s journey.
This month, we invite our supporters to join us at Pairing in the Valley on 24 July 2026 at Constantia Glen Wine Estate. This special evening of fine wine, gourmet canapés and community spirit will help us continue providing free palliative care and support to vulnerable patients and families across the Western Cape.
Our Online Auction is also live, offering another meaningful way to give back. Every bid helps support compassionate hospice care, while giving supporters the chance to win special experiences, products and services.
As Nelson Mandela Day approaches, we encourage individuals, teams and businesses to give 67 minutes of their time, purchase a Mandela Day sticker, or support our maintenance, furniture, arts, stationery and volunteer needs. Whether through hands-on help, donated supplies or small acts of service, every contribution helps us create warmer, more comfortable and dignified spaces for the patients and families we serve.
We are also excited to begin the countdown to our 46th birthday, and we look forward to sharing what we have planned.
Thank you for continuing to stand with us. Your generosity, time and care allow us to keep making a difference, one patient, one family and one moment at a time.
