As winter settles in, we are once again reminded of the compassion, generosity and community spirit that make the work of St Luke’s Combined Hospices possible.
This June, we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to every donor, partner and friend who supported our recent Disaster Relief Appeal. Your kindness helped bring warmth, dignity and hope to vulnerable patients and families affected by the severe storms across the Western Cape. Through your generosity, we were able to reach patients and families in communities including Grassy Park, Khayelitsha, Gugulethu, Mitchells Plain, City Bowl/Liesbeeck and Wynberg.
We are also grateful to everyone who made our Charity Golf Day such a wonderful success. With 84 players, 21 teams, generous sponsors, prize donors and supporters, the day was filled with connection, laughter and purpose. Together, we raised meaningful support for our work and showed what can happen when a community comes together for a cause rooted in care.
Looking ahead, we have several special initiatives taking place over the winter months, including our Online Food Parcel Drive, Pierce-for-Purpose, our Wine Pairing Fundraiser, and Padel 4 Palliative. Each of these events offers a meaningful way to support compassionate palliative care and help us continue serving patients and families when they need us most.
Thank you for walking this journey with us. Your support helps us bring comfort, dignity and care to our communities, and allows us to continue making every moment matter.
